The Tree Spirit
Pop-up Installation
2D frame-by-frame animation + TouchDesigner
2026. 02.12
Location: A California sycamore tree on USC campus
I’ve always been fascinated by the organic shapes on California sycamore trees, so I chose one as the subject of my pop-up installation. California sycamores are known for their distinctive bark, which naturally exfoliates and peels away in large patches, revealing lighter layers of white, green, and tan underneath.
In my piece, I use color to highlight these natural patterns on the tree’s surface and combine them with animation to reveal a hidden tree spirit observing humans from within the bark.

Liquid Light
Cinematic Object Installation
TouchDesigner + Real-time AI-generated images
2026. 03.12
Location: USC SCA Gallery
Liquid Light is an interactive installation centered around a bucket filled with water, where projected images appear on the water surface. Through real time movement interaction and AI generated imagery, the piece explores the idea of jing hua shui yue, something as fleeting and unreachable as flowers in a mirror or the moon reflected on water. The audience’s thoughts appear as images on the water, fragile and temporary, ready to dissolve with the slightest movement.
My Little Monsters
Immersive Installation
2D frame-by-frame animation
2026. 04.23/30
Location: The Grand LA
Do you have different voices in your head?
I do. They are my little monsters.
In this immersive installation, seven of my 2D frame-by-frame animated characters are shown together, each representing a different inner voice. The piece turns these internal voices into visible little monsters, creating a space where fragmented thoughts, emotions, and personalities coexist at once.
